Store Manager Job Overview:
Store Managers must be able to comprehend,
communicate, and implement the store strategy and
action plan. Store Managers are responsible for
motivating their team to complete the sales process,
ensure customer satisfaction, comply with company
procedures, and maximize productivity and
profitability. Store Managers are also responsible
for hiring, training, and monitoring the development
of their staff. Responsibilities therefore include,
but are not limited to, the following:

Maintain and manage the sales floor:
Enhance the customer experience by leading
your team of associates in providing
strong levels of customer service.
Monitor store presentation and support brand
consistency.
Utilize merchandising skills to drive sales
through effective merchandise
presentations.
Enforce Loss Prevention policy and awareness
on the floor in order to control external
shrink.
Manage and lead your team of employees:
Conduct associate recruiting, interviewing
and hiring.
Create and maintain team relationships.
Enforce Loss Prevention policy and awareness
with employees in order to control
internal shrink.
Diagnose, develop and evaluate the
performance of associates.
Partner with the Human Resources Department
in addressing all employee relations
issues.

Because of the level of responsibility accrued to a
store manager, and because of our high standards for
our store employees, the following are minimum
requirements for this position:

Four year degree from a college or university; or two
to four years related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a staff
Strong sales and customer service ability
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Retail experience is a plus but is NOT necessary
